COMPACT STELLA

Description: Large. Dard red skin ripening toward black. Firm, sweet, dark red flesh with good flavor and texture. Has all the outstanding characteristics of the Stella but in a slightly smaller tree. Resistant to cracking, appears to be less affected by many problems associated with rain near harvest time compared to other varieties. Excellent for eating, canning and preserves. Self Fertile. Good pollinizer for all sweet cherries. Requires 700-800 hours chilling below 45 F.
